GROWING TOGETHER (Spring / Summer 2004)

We recently published the Spring/Summer issue of the Bpi Agri “Growing Together” newsletter. Some of the featured stories are illustrated below.

OUT IN AFRICA – Bpi Agris horticultural product range was exhibited at the Hortec/Agriflora Africa show in Nairobi in March. Attended by growers from Ethiopia, South Africa, Tanzania and Uganda.

Dr Mark Fletcher of Bpi Agri gave a presentation on the subject of Spectral filter technology for high value horticulture. A packed audience listened and then discussed the technology behind two of the newer Visqueen range of polytunnel films, Luminance THB and Solatrol.

The talk was complemented with trial results which have been generated over the last few years by Bpi Agri and Haygrove tunnels and in cooperation with Reading University.

Various trials are being undertaken in the African continent to meet the exacting growing conditions required for this part of the world and to enhance crops.
